Folie Gras is a deep dark brown taupe creme. I only applied one coat! Very opaque. Keep in mind I do have on basecoat and one coat of ridgefiller.
Riveting a bright shimmer orange with yellow shimmers mixed in. I thought it was glass fleck from looking at it in the bottle but looks shimmery on the nail. Such a fun color. I used one coat.
Overall The formula on these were a little runny but thick at the same time still not a problem with applying them. Very impressive these 2 being one coaters for me. The colors aren't new and I have a few in mine that are close dupes. I can't wait to get some of the others in this collection.
China Glaze® Capitol Colours will be available in early March 2012 at salons and specialty beauty retailers including Sally Beauty Supply and ULTA stores, coinciding with the release of THE HUNGER GAMES in theatres March 23, 2012. ReplyDeleteYesterday I picked up Smoke and Ashes and Hook and Line. I saw this one but I didn't get it but I probably should've. How does this brown compare to others you have? Any possible dupes?

ReplyDeletelove love love! how do you keep the polish off your cuticles? it looks so clean! mine always ends up being thick there and looking kinda sloppy. i hate it
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! :)
ReplyDeleteChescaleigh: Oh wow you commented on my blog! It just takes practice sometimes I use acetone and elf concealer brush to clean up :)
I am nuts over Riveting! And yes, it does look very much like it's glass fleck in the bottle. I hear I am not the only one goofy for Riveting - many reporting it's out at a lot of Sally's. I was underwhelmed by this collection over all. Lux & Lush - which they had used a thinner Mylar so it was not as rough a finish once the clear topper is on. Argo thought I would like and it just looks flat to me on the nail - I have to play with it - might be donating that one to Women's Shelter. I like Glittering Garland much more and almost same hue as Argo. Not into the glitter one - looks like holiday to me and I am not into holiday. Riveting really looks GREAT on you!
